School  library is a unit of work as an integral part of school educational  institutions, which is a place to store a collection of library  materials that are managed and systematically arranged in a certain way   used by students and teachers as a source of information, in order to  support teaching and learning programs in schools. (Mulyani A. Nurhadi, 1983: 1). 
The library purposes 
         1. Enhance thinking skills and inculcate habits of self-study according to their talents and their development. 
         2. Embedding the knowledge of integrated and not taught. Quality of lessons is checkered 
         3. Fostering  mutual understanding between students and the customs value of  scientific achievement that was obtained someone from seeking their own  activities through reading books (Soetimah, 1982: 1). 
According to Mulyani, A. Nurhadi purpose of organizing the school library is: To  support the program of student learning and teachers teaching in schools,  so that the general purpose and special purpose school education can be  achieved optimally as which listed within the school curriculum  (1983: 1). 
         4. Extracurricular activities as a special service objectives in education in schools 
The purpose and scope of the library Extracurricular  activities which is a set of learning experiences have the values of  benefits for the formation of students' personalities. The  purpose of the implementation of extracurricular activities in schools  under the directorate of vocational secondary education is (1987: 9). 
a. Extracurricular activities should be able to boost students' ability in cognitive, effective, and psychomotoric aspects. b. Develop students' talents and interests in personal coaching efforts towards fostering a positive whole person. c. Can learn to know and distinguish between the relationships and lessons with other subjects. Thus  the scope of extracurricular activities is a form of activities that  can support and can support intrakurikuler program is developing  knowledge and reasoning ability of students, skills through hobbies and  interests as well as the development of attitudes that exist in kokurikuler and intrakurikuler programs  and courses.
